Research in GRAYLING
Michigan is where I grew up, Grayling, a small town centered in Northern lower Peninsula, will always be my home at heart... I live in Florida now, I must like peninsulas.
The town of Grayling is "Gods Country" as most people describe it.
Grayling is why I became a Wildlife Artist in the first place. I go back home 1-2 times a years to get my fix of the Northern woods, the Ausable and Manastee Rivers, Lake Margarethe, the Canoe Marathon, 4th of July, and seeing Family and many old Friends.
While Florida has its own visual seductiveness, Grayling has all the charm of a Thomas Kincade painting. I miss the four seasons, the white Christmases, snowmobiling and ice fishing, Fall reminds me of football, hunting the smells of the fresh fallen leafs and the smells of burning leafs to get rid of them from the yard, the first warm day in the spring was always so welcoming, and the amazing comforting summers with the clean water and fresh air all bring back fantastic memories.
