Cliff Bonamie is an artist and family man. He loves the outdoors and creating images connected to those subjects.
Cliff has been a professional painter and screen print artist, the majority of his work being wildlife art.
In 1986, he along with some of his family members, started Silkmasters Inc. a screen print business which printed, manufactured and marketed apparel nationally for 25 years. Silkmasters customers included gift shops, theme parks, major zoos, (Disney World, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Six Flaggs are a few of the companies they sold to) throughout the United States. He also licenses his images worldwide to many other companies.
As a painter cliff has a fine arts degree and commercial arts degree. He studied under some of the world's finest wildlife painters including Jon Bonovich, John Seery-Lester, Guy Coheleach, Paco Young, Robert Bateman to name a few.
Throughout the years Cliff has traveled to many places like Africa, Guatemala, the Rockies, Europe, Alaska, Canada and the Caribbean, and most areas of the US researching for his wildlife paintings.
Cliff's first job out of college has painted huge murals inside Bear Archery's manufacturing plant while also working in the advertising department. He also worked as a freelance commercial artist for a few years before he started working for a screen printing company in Gainesville, Florida. Cliff taught himself how to create designs on the computer when computers first appeared as a tool for design. There he learned how to create and separate an image to be able to print on apparel. He then took that knowledge and started his own screen print business so he could paint and create wildlife images. For the next 25 years he grew "Silkmasters Inc., with his family, which consistently won national awards for creative designs, cutting edge screen printing and separation abilities. Cliff was always seen painting at the industries trade show booths or at the licensing show at the Manhattans Javits Center
